~Beginners Tips~
There are pros and cons to using to using free web
hosting for your websites.
The Pros:
1. It allows everyone, regardless of their budget,
to have a chance to make money online or at least learn the process
of earning money on the internet.
2. It's Free ! (see number 1.)
The Cons:
1. You may get listed on some obscure search engines
but the major players like Google won't list you.
2. You have no control over the future of your site
(If the hosting company closes down - so does your site) and you
can't build up a good brand name.
3. If you intend to have a lot of visitors to your
website or to run a professional site with all the capabilities
needed for a real long term business then it isn't good enough.
4. It doesn't look very professional and may scare
away customers who are afraid of getting scammed. Anybody and their
dog can open a free hosting account so they may not trust such a
site.
5. etc. etc. etc.
Like I said above, it's a great stepping stone or
a chance to put your toe in the water (and that's exactly what this
site is about) but as soon as you make your first dollars then it's
vital to change to a good hosting company with professional services
if you intend to have a long term career online.
